Sketch toy library

The Toy Library is a free resource open to any school, nursery, group or individual in East Dunbartonshire.

The service is run by Enable Scotland and funded by the East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership.

Resources available include toys, books, games and discovery boxes for children up to the age of eight. It also has sensory toys, which are suitable for children with additional support needs.

We open once a week (during term time) at three different bases, and we also visit special schools, early year’s centres, out of school care services, child-minding groups and post-natal baby clinics.

Twinkle Tots – Pre five play group for children with additional support needs

Twinkle Tots runs every Thursday at Hillhead Community Centre, and was set up for children with additional support needs. It is supported by East Dunbartonshire Council as part of the Little Explorers Nurture Day (LEND).

The sessions, which are interactive and fun, follow the same format each week to ensure that the children feel comfortable and know what to expect.

The children attending have a mixture of disabilities - however, children who have not had a firm diagnosis are very welcome to attend. Siblings are also welcome.
